Al Bast Memorial

Al Bast (1950 – 2002) As founder of Al’s Automotive & Tire, Al started performing automotive services from his home before opening the business in 1981.  Following his dreams and his faith in Jesus, he and his wife Diane built a 4-bay facility and expanded it into a 9-bay facility in 1998.  Al laid the foundations that the business continues to build on today… customer satisfaction, skilled technicians, friendly, well trained advisors, state-of-the-art equipment and unquestionable business ethics.  As an ASE Certified Master Tech, Al was a hands-on owner in the early years.  Their business continued to grow and he and Diane directed their efforts on improving their management skills and business knowledge.  In 2000, Al was diagnosed with cancer.  For 2 years, he and Diane fought the cancer while continuing to operate the business.  In 2002, after 31 years of marriage and the blessings of 2 children, 5 grandchildren and a successful business, Al went home to be with the Lord.

Instead of selling the business, as many in the industry expected, Diane has continued to move forward in the same fashion that she and Al did for years.  She has since remarried and, with her husband Jim, continue the traditions and build on the foundations that she and Al started.  To God be the glory!
